Many of our dreams have to do with some form of transportation. Dreams about cars have to do with the life we are living today. They are about our life's experience.
If we are in a car, we are being told something about our control over our lives. Are we driving and in charge, or is someone else driving our life vehicle? Maybe we are in the passenger seat or even in the back seat.
And then there is the type of road on which we are driving. Is it straight and easy to drive, or is it winding, curvy and dangerous? And then we have the weather outside on the day we are in the car. It could be clear and sunny or windy and rainy. There might be signs or traffic signals along the way. All of these elements provide clues as to your present life experience.

The food we eat in dreams
We take food into our bodies for nourishment. Some of what we eat is good for us, while other things might fill us up, but not be in our best interest.
Food and drink in dreams tell us what we are taking regularly to sustain ourselves. We need to watch what we are consuming in our dreams. It probably corresponds to those things we take in our daily lives. The things that we consume in our dreams relate directly to what we are also taking in emotionally and spiritually in our daily routines.

Dream Destinations
A lot of our dreams have us visiting or heading to a location other than our home or usual places that we visit. In many of these cases, this destination is represented by a building that is rather large. Some buildings are elaborate and others are quite simple and plain.
It is essential that you keep track of all the details of these locations. Even simple information may be critical to the understanding of the dream. Things such as color, relative sizes, windows, doors, roofs and interiors of buildings give us clues about the direction our lives are taking.
For example, if the building is very straight and tall or has long, formless windows, you are being told that this dream represents the male side of your personality. It is telling you how you think and process information from the male side of your ego and personality.
If the structure is more elaborate, and features fancy molding and elaborate windows or shades, you are being guided to the feminine side of your nature. This dream is telling you about your intuitive nature and how you feel about your life.

Body Parts in Our Dreams
Dreams often highlight concerns with various parts of the anatomy which correspond to different elements of our lives.
For example, some parts of the body, such as the legs, support us in our efforts to get around. Our eyes are the way we see our world. Our blood literally represents the life-force energy within us. Our hair corresponds to our attractiveness to others and to our higher self. Our heart is at the feelings and core of who we are.
As with anything, when a body part shows up in a dream, we need to see it in context of the entire body and all the feelings behind it.

Dreams in the Eternal Present
I believe that all reality happens in a sort of vertical plane of consciousness. We, on the other hand, have been taught that we live in a realm of horizontal space-time relativity. But, if we begin to look at it differently, relaizing there is no time in the true sense of the word, we are able to look at the Dream State from a totally different perspective.
Our dreams are not happening in a different space-time continuum, but are taking place in the only moment we have, "The Eternal Now." Once we grasp this concept, we begin to understand our dreams at a more profound level of consciousness.

Dreams over the Holidays
During this time of year, many people have dreams about the holidays or their families when they were much younger. These dreams can give us a sense about how we felt about ourselves and others during this time. These dreams also relate to the present time as compared to earlier years in our lives.
Watch these dreams carefully as they can guide us during this time of year. They tell us what we need during the holidays and can even help us decide whom we need to contact and be in touch with at this time.
So be especially aware of the individuals who show up for us and what our dreams are telling us about them. You might even be guided about holiday gifts and dear friends from your past.

Just Released! Dream On
I just released my latest book: Dream On--Understand Your Dreams, Understand YourselfBegin to understand what your dreams are trying to tell you.
They are guiding you every day. Are you listening?
By understanding our dreams, we can learn what we need to do next in our lives.
Others' dreams can help us to understand ours.
Dream On looks at our dreams and helps us to understand what we are being told on a daily basis. Our dreams are not literal interpretations of our daily lives. They are metaphysical and subjective in our understanding of them. The topics of our dreams fit into a number of different categories like colors, shapes, sizes, locations and relationships. Dream On looks at over a hundred different dreams of people and explains how they relate to such things as past lives, the animal kingdom and even the difficult times we experience over the years.
